Waiting time is over. Monday March 14, 2022 #Route66Smiling will be back with a new theme.

Many books were written about Route 66. Some refer to history and people others to businesses and attractions, about lost places, about nearly ghost towns, the decommissioning and revival and so much more. The authors of these books are historians, artists, traveling guides or just enthusiasts.
Do you know there are books for children, also traveling books for families? Of which good books from Route 66 have you heard or read somewhere? Which of those books did you buy and read? If so, what’s your favorite book about Route 66? Did you ever meet the author of one of your books? Where did you meet him/her?
The author must not live on Route 66, he/she just wrote one or more books about the subject. They can come from any country in the world, having written the book in their native language. It’s only the subject that matters. Get out your books of Route 66, mention title and author and tell us in a few words what you liked mostly about the book or just how you came across the book.
